Antonio Benítez Fernández (born 2 June 1951 in Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz, Andalusia) was a Spanish footballer who played for La Liga side Real Betis. Alex starred for Real Betis from 1971 through to 1983. The defender played 203 La Liga games for Real Betis, scoring 14 goals.
